Recently, while using the TijoriFinance platform, I came across a research report in the Discussions & Analysis section for a company I had stumbled upon earlier. The report was written by an individual analyst who was NISM and CFA certified (IIRC).
Honestly, I was genuinely impressed, not just by the quality of the report, but by the amount of effort, structure, and thought that clearly went into it. It reminded me that serious research still exists beyond institutions with massive teams and resources.
If I had not seen that report myself, I probably would not have believed that an individual analyst could put in that level of commitment and depth independently.
It also made me appreciate that this platform @Tijori_Finance gives aspiring research analysts a space to publish and showcase their work. That is valuable.
Folks here, have you ever come across an independent analyst’s work that truly surprised you as an investor? Not the “YouTube analysts yapping for ad revenue” type, but the old-school pen-and-paper kind who clearly spend countless hours building a proper research thesis from scratch.
…but was just obsessing over inconsequential details
like most of the posts here (eg. this very post/comment in this topic-thread? )
…but in a professional manner
like most financial reports do anyway
PS: Also, have you calibrated your effort-estimates to the recent new world-order with commoditised software and LLMs that enable creation of such work-products without knowledge and without significant effort on the part of the individual?
Will DM the TJ URL, That Research Report link is at the bottom under Discussions & Analysis section. It is also a Google Drive File, open incognito if you don’t want to log your email.
