One thing I’ve noticed is that orders placed using mandates in 50% of cases are executed the next day (they have NAV of T+1 day even if the funds are debited on T day morning).
With UPI payment, I would get same day NAV most of the time with very few exceptions.
Is this something which is going to get fixed?

I am unable to create mandate when trying with HDFC. when I try to verify with debit card I always get session expired. Any solution or others also facing the issue?

-Yes it is my primary bank account.
-Tried couple of times till now.
-Tried verification via both net banking & debit card on different occasions

Regarding the 1 lakh per day limit on a mandate, can we create 2 mandates and use 1 lakh from each mandate on the same day to fund SIP?

@Bhuvan @ShubhS9 Today again my AMC SIP order to be funded via mandate did not go through. The funds were not deducted. The same thing happened last month when I was told the issue is fixed at the backend and it should go through next time, but NO. Since it is an AMC order I cannot make separate investment and neither can I make payment manually via payment gateway for the existing SIP order. Lost opportunity due to pathetic state of Coin backend again.

I placed a mutual fund order today. It is lumpsum order for 2 funds and I paid both of them at the same time through the payments page.

The money got debited from my account and the cashier.zerodha.com also showed a payment successful message. But the status still shows as payment pending. I have uploaded the screenshot of payment successful message to the ticket. (Yes, I still take screenshots after every payment because I have little faith at this point and your customer support just closes the ticket even with screenshot proof.)

I have raised a ticket #20230116570325 , the customer support team is saying it’s the same issue which persisted 7 months ago wrt to razorpay, ICCL and BSE. I am not sure what is the status of this order or when I will get the refund. Last time it took > 4 weeks to get my refund and customer support ticket was closed multiple times.

I have placed orders in the month of Jan and Dec but never faced the issue before, but looks like this issue seems to be present and comes up intermittently?

Is it an issue with the RazorPay? Why are we not exploring other payment providers? Do we have zero control about this entire flow 7 months later as well?

Edit - Is there any plan at to fix this once and for all? Scrolling back a few post looks like this issue is still happening to other users as well.

there is some problem in the system. What i have noticed is if there is holiday/weekend in between chances of failure is very high. And though your SIP amount is less eg:5k, but if you don’t have 1lakh in your account sometimes it fails to process, or takes 4 days to process (as e mandate is 1lakh). I know these doesn’t make sense , but these are the problems I have faced. Its been a long time that my SIP went smoothly, please look into the matter as lots of people are facing similar issue.

Adding to the ongoing issues list of sip mandates.

I created the mandate in the first week of dec after the new set up is rolled out. The mandate become active and I linked them to my 2 amc sips.

On the scheduled sip date of dec-15th , the status in coin started showing as “AMC SIP Pending mandate verification “

Even after few days, nothing happened and I raised a ticket. In that one, it was mentioned that there were issues in sips created before Dec 10th and everything would be fine from Jan onwards. No further detail was provided and the case was closed .

Since I have 2 different amc sips and both of them were struck , I’m not sure if the issue is on any one amc side.

This month also, on15th I received all the usual mails from coin about submission of sip to amc and both of them are again showing the status as “AMC SIP Pending mandate verification “

I raised a request again and in that one the following generic response is added

We understand your concern and would like to inform you that the issue is not entirely from our end, as there involve multiple external dependencies such as Payment gateway (Razorpay), Indian Clearing Corporation Limited (ICCL), BSE Exchange, AMC (Mutual Fund house). An unexpected issue can rise in the new payment process via mandate. However, as time goes by, it shall be fully developed in communication with external dependencies. Your kind understanding and cooperation in this regard would be appreciated.

We will update you once we receive an update from the concerned department for the remaining two orders on 16-Jan-2023 orders.
