End of August 2023.
End of September approaching.
@Bhuvan, Iād to recently change my main UPI ID from a Bhim one to a Paytm one. Have had no problem with it to add funds for Kite or for other purposes, but when I try to make Coin SIP payments through it, it gets continuously rejected.
Any idea how this issue can be rectified? Again, zero issues elsewhere with the Paytm IDā¦
Had raised a ticket for this as well #20231130715003 , but received the usual clueless bot like response discussed many times before in this forumā¦
Someone had contacted from the Support team and said the issue might be from the Payment Gateway side (though I had added some peanut amount to my Kite at the same time yesterday & that had gone through), so asked to make a new Coin order today from the same Paytm UPI ID. That went through todayā¦
I just noticed that a mandate I created in Coin in December 2023 has a limit of 1Cr, not just 1 Lakh. Does it mean I can map all my SIPs to this single mandate and cancel unused mandates without issue?
Yes, you can link all SIP with the same mandate. Please refer to the below article to know the steps.
- Created new eMandate for 1Cr (default) value. It is in active status now.
- Went ahead to create regular monthly SIP (not a AMC SIP) for 2L amount and linked with above created mandate.
- Got the following error: āError placing sip order: Maximum per day limit of 1 lakh rupees reached for this mandate, please create a fresh mandate and map.ā
Why is it considering 1Cr mandate as 1L mandate?
Hi @Mub after the recent RBI circular all the new nach limits are increased from 1 lakh to 1 crore. Any new mandate that are being registered are with this limit.
All the old mandates are created with the limit of 1 lakh and hence there is a limit set up on the UI to map any mandate for an amount greater than 1 lakh. This will be increased soon and is work in progress because we are making a few changes for the mandates with the limit of 1 lakh and then of 1 crore.
For now, you can visit coin web, create a SIP without any mandate for 2 lakh, once the sip is created, instantly you can click on modify, select the mandate you want to map and save the SIP. The SIP will be mapped to the mandate and 2 lakh will be debated on the preferred date from your account.
Hello @MayankMaheshwari ,
I placed an order for Parag Parikh liquid fund and faced the same issue. Order failed but amount got debited from bank account. If you could please let me know after how many days did you get the refund of your amount ? As I have faced this issue first time, I am worried and your reply would be helpful

Hi @Neelesh
If you could please help me in knowing how many days on average does it take to get the funds back if order failed on coin via net banking and funds got debited from the bank account. It has been 2 working days since I placed the order for Parag Parikh liquid fund which failed but funds got debited. Your answer will be very helpful.

Hi,
I think I got it back after 4-5 working days
Hi Neelesh, Workaround provided by you worked for Non-AMC SIP, but didnāt work for AMC monthly SIP for amount greater than 1L. It gave the error that mandate above 1L not allowed even though I have selected no mandates.
Please check and resolve.
Yep, aware about this, the limit will be fixed by the coming week.
