That is decided by clearing corporation for their own reasons.
Hey @Nakul, can you add Motilal Oswal S & P 500 Index Fund direct (INF247L01AG2) to Zerodha’s approved security list as well? It’s there in the clearing corporation’s list which came out today: NCL/CMPT/48682
This had been approved previously as well but never got added to Zerodha’s list, hopefully will be done this time…

As nakul replied we update this list once a month normally, ideally if that is allowed we should allow from today, @Nakul is checking and will update here.
You should be able to pledge this now.
The S&P fund you’ve spoken about was allowed by the exchange from this month. Hence, we update our approved list of securities at the start of every month. MF’s are added after confirming the market-wide limit and the member-specific security limits. There are a few other checks we perform in the backend before allowing any security to pledge. You can expect new securities to be added by the 2nd or the 3rd working day of every month.

Why is SBI balanced advantage fund not in pledge non-cash list? It has an AUM of 20000+ crores and is below high risk category.
SBI balanced advantage fund is not approved by the exchange yet. Check the list by going to NSE , Filter by futures & Options and search for “Revised List”.
@Nakul Kotak Nasdaq 100 FoF has been added to the list. Would it be added for the next month?

“SBI FOCUSED EQUITY FUND REGULAR GROWTH” is available to pledge but “SBI FOCUSED EQUITY FUND - DIRECT PLAN” is not.
Is there a logic for adding regular but not direct?

SBI Focused Equity Direct plan is not in the list of funds provided by clearing corporation. You can check the list by going there. Zerodha doesn’t have any say here.
We’ll add it to the current month’s approved list.

The clearing corporation hasn’t allowed pledging of some of the direct funds where as the regular schemes of the same fund are allowed. We have already reported such cases to the clearing corporation and requested them to allow pledging in such schemes.
Could you add Kotak Nasdaq 100 FoF direct fund? I still don’t see it.

This has been added to our approved list now. You should be able to pledge it for margin.
