Orders executed are not visible in the orders page and funds section is coming blank

This is also for good of retail traders bhaiyya, so that traders understand true risk and reduce trading :sweat_smile:

1.) Is the issue fixed now? Can I start taking fresh positions in CNC now, as it is allowed?

2.) Any chance i will face this issue tomorrow also?

@nithin hi Nithin: just out of curiosity and with bit of apprehension wanted to ask , what options do Retailers have on days such as today? Just a hypothetical scenario imagine some has placed a big order and half of the capital gets wiped out due to technical glitches… we can’t have luck play such a big role in today’s age with so much advancement in tech support… what happened today with folks has really shaken my trust in support system of zerodha which otherwise has been a remarkable journey with you guys… but just a thought of being unlucky in such scenarios has scared the shit out of me honestly… would be great if we can have some concrete measures which safeguard Retailers and their capitals on days such as these … hoping to hear from you :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t think this is correct. I had sent 3 orders via api today in first few mins. 1 got sent after 1min or so of delay and rest 2 never made it and had to be resent. There were multiple network/gateway timeouts.

Let me try to answer that practically.
I’m an option seller. I had large quantity shorted in 8950 Midcap straddle. I wasn’t able to execute any orders, no exit no sl for almost 3 hours. It was my luck that there was no big move otherwise I could have been in a lot of trouble if Midcap had gone up or fallen by even 1%

A solution to this is to have a backup broker with some cash for option buying. If I had even 40-50k in fyers, and market started falling, I could have bought similar quantity of 8925 pe aur even 8950 to effectively hedge it.
The actual trade of the day would be obviously messed up but any large losses can be prevented.

This has two downsides -
Always need to have some extra capital for option buying in another broker and
This only works for sellers. Option buyers can’t take opposite positions in another broker becasue that would require huge margin as compared to their original position.

Here people are loosing money( for some it’s their life), don’t expect them to be civil.

Sorry , but this is again not a solution… with so many existing variables in trading you can’t have one more “ bad luck” as one of them… Nithin keeps talking about taking trading as a business, there has to be something which keeps the business insured during such mishaps… which is why seeking guidance from Nithin @nithin

8-10 second delay in sending orders today.
Validation pending/Modify Validation pending took long time.
Stuff like this can lead to missed orders or bad prices.

In the Morning after the market opens, the orders get delayed. (This issue happens only in the morning just after the market opens)

Guys, one thing I learned from the Zerodha incident management system is to be critical of your internet service provider at all times. So, when Zerodha’s adaptor failed, I filed a ticket with ACT, requesting that they participate in a tripartite dispute resolution.
Going forward, my internet service provider will also raise tickets on Zerodha portal attesting that nothing is wrong at my end.
