do the responsible folks even understand the concern with wasted space in the UI
that is repeatedly brought-up every few weeks by different users on this forum
for several years now ?
[removing the wasted space on the sides and widening the chart] is extremely handy to…
- have a large chart with more details / longer timeline visible on-screen.
- along with the Market-watch and Market-depth widgets on the left > simultaneously.
Atleast, 3 years ago,
it appeared that the responsible folks did not understand the concerns
and spent time explaining unrelated design principles.
Any progress since then on this topic? 
Or are there additional challenges identified with supporting a wider chart?
(for example, requires more historical data due to a longer timeline visible in the chart, resulting in additional latency to showing the page upon initial load as more chart data needs to stream-in?)
