Revision in quantity freeze limits for Index derivatives from July 01, 2024

The quantity freeze limits for Index Futures and Options contracts are revised periodically with the new revised quantity freeze limits coming into effect from 1st July 2024.

Note:

  • The lot size for FINNIFTY is changing from 40 to 25 starting from July for monthly contracts and August 6th for weekly contracts.

  • The lot size for MIDCAPNIFTY is changing from 75 to 50 starting from July for monthly contracts and August 5th for weekly contracts.

  • Starting from July 31, 2024, The new freeze limits will be the same for both weekly and monthly options.

Thanks. Think that the “New limits in lots” has been derived from “Quantity freeze limit” to show in lots. Is there any mismatch to be counted on FINNIFTY and MIDCPNIFTY? Please correct me. Thanks.

The data was correct but incomplete due to different lot sizes for weekly n monthly options in Midcap and finnifty till July ending. I’ve edited the post now. You can check the complete details. Thanks for pointing out :slight_smile:
