Sensibull updates

I thought Sensibull was a dead product with no to little development. However, pleased to see some updates. Below updates noticed by me:

  1. Booked/unbooked PNL
  2. Option Chain for Commodities
  3. SL orders

There are still lot of features that can be added. Hope the development pace will pick up.

Sad to see the alert going away. Used this a lot. It was better designed as compared to Zerodha alert. Any chances of getting this back?

Thanks!

@teenscm Which alert?
How exactly (in what scenarios) were you finding it handy?

Depending on the exact use-case(s) you are looking for and can share,
maybe @Sensibull can suggest available/upcoming alternatives for it?

@cvs Sensibull had price and PNL alert feature. This was removed and instead conditional exit feature was added.

I got below from sensibul team.

"Thanks for taking the time to give us feedback.

Glad to hear that you like the above mentioned features.

Regarding removal of ‘Alert’ feature:

  1. This feature was a maintenance overhead for us with very few users actively using it
  2. Also, the introduction of the new Alert Triggers Orders (ATO) based alerts from Zerodha largely removed the need for us to maintain this in parallel.
  • Instead with Conditional Exit feature (see below) we decided to build on top of Zerodha APIs rather than replicate effort

We have added a few more improvements you may have missed since you last checked:

  1. Firstly, Sensibull’s analyze widget on Kite has seen a significant overhaul. Millions of Kite users get to see a much more extensive option strategy analysis right within Kite itself.
  2. We have also added a new ‘Conditional Exit’ feature that’s a wrapper around Zerodha’s Alert Triggers Orders. You can read more about this here
  1. We have also added a new ‘Learn Option Strategies’ page that elaborates on various option strategies, and what scenarios to use them in

We also have a series of upcoming features lined up:

  1. We have a new ‘Mindful Trading’ feature that works towards discouraging impulsive trades.
  2. We have a full revamp of our Draft Portfolios coming up, with much nicer order book editing and other quality of life improvements

Sensibull has never ceased working to make traders’ lives better, and we never will. :slightly_smiling_face:"

Please post what else you want to see on sensibul.

I have a long list of features. Let’s start with very basic, don’t know why this was missed by Sensibull. There is no LTP in the order window. Please see the snapshot below:

Options Simulator is needed feature.

Before asking for new features, let’s fix the existing functionality. Just adding new features with bugs will not help.

I used to adjust my positions only after certain level of PNL triggers or certain level of nifty breaks…now after removing this feature I’m sitting in-front of laptop the whole day watching PNL and nifty being tensed

I don’t know how such an important feature was removed!! Please bring it back

@siva @Sensibull can we get the LTP and LTT on this order window?

Yes. Option Simulator (aka manual backtesting) is rewlly needed. Otherwise we have to pay platforms like opstra or stockmock for this.
Having Auto backtesing will be a buge bonus too.
But Similator is essential within Sensibull.

Please add option simulator for backtesting.(Auto & Manual).

I understand that the “price alert” feature required significant maintenance, but it was extremely useful for managing stop-losses up to a certain price point. For example, if I didn’t have a fixed stop-loss level, I could still ensure I wouldn’t lose more than 1% of my capital. Let’s say my capital is ₹10 lakh—I would simply set a price alert and get notified when the loss hits 10,000. This kind of flexibility isn’t possible with a conditional exit alone.

We will bring it onto kite, will take few months though.

bring it to track p&l based on multiple positions as it was on Sensibull, not to track for a for only one single position

Yes, at portfolio level and strategy level.

Hi an alert for an IV for a particular stock when it crosses defined threshold for any user would be nice.
I couldn’t find such an option even in kite’s alert.

Please let me know if such a thing exists ?

Not available as of now, will pass this as feedback to team.

@Sensibull is this taken care of? This feature already exists when you have basket order in sensibull, but not if there is just a single buy/sell order.

Need to have the last price in the single order window also.

Or you can keep the single order window similar to basket order window to keep the UI consistent. Also, add the underlying quote as available in basket order window.

I am requesting this feature since sensibull was a paid app.
