This is one of the promising feature . One important parameter would make it much better.
Transaction date and Invested time horizon which would help us in how many days its giving profit or turn to from loss or from profit to loss etc.
Tagging FNO position is not working. Seeing message as ‘tagging’ for more than a day. Can someone please verify?

There’s no issue with Tagging. Could you please DM your client ID?
I see an issue when filtering by Tags on Holdings Page within Console. For a selected tag, it filters all the scrips with the Tag, but then it lists all the trades for that particular Scrip including the ones which are without that particular Tag. E.g. Say I have 1 stock of HDFCBANK each with TagA & TagB, then on filtering with TagA, it shows both the holdings instead of only 1.

Filtering exact holdings quantity based on Tags is one of the Tag-related enhancements in our list of things to do.
There is something wrong in tags
- Sometimes the tagging works, sometimes it doesn’t (It shows tagging, but after sometime if I refresh the tags disappear). I had to try all the permutations and combinations to successfully tag a holding (equity)
- The reports generated from tags are completely wrong for my account. Please feel free to use my ID EF5964 to see how I have tagged, I want to generate a report which gives the returns made from those tags, but I get some random result

This is a known bug when one tags from the P&L page. We are fixing this soon.
Downloading tag-based reports is on our to-do. We’ll update here whenever we allow this.
When I export the tradebook I am not able to export the tags, please consider this as an enhancement if not already available. Thanks
Do I have to tag every future SIP entry ? Is there any way to automate this while creating a SIP order on Coin?
Currently it is not possible to tag mutual fund orders on Coin. This is on our list of things to do.

IT SEEMS TAGS FEATURE IS NOT THAT SMART
I recently started using this TAGS feature on zerodha. I thought it is a good thing as I use multiple investment strategies and I will be able to see the performance of each of them with ease. But that’s not the case here.
Example - ZOMATO
- First purchase was on 1/4/2024. Which is tagged as xyz strategy
- 2nd purchase was on 5/6/2024. Which is tagged as abc strategy
Both the trades have different buy dates, and have different P&L. but this TAGS portfolio(From Path - Console → portfolio → Scroll down to strategy → View portfolio) It ishows both the entries together. This kills the entire purpose of tagging the trades and and feature becomes completely useless if it is unable to provide segregated data based on the tags.
Now if I want to see the performance of my xyz method, I can’t see the stats as data is not in proper format as it should be. The performance of xyz strategy comes mixed with abc tagged entries because zomato was bought based on two different strategies.
In feb month it was a known bug. We are in july and I am still fighting with this little bug.
4 months gone and bugs are still alive. Tags just disappear after some time.

The trade-wise tagging feature was becoming a bit of a technical challenge and the user experience wasn’t as smooth as we wanted it to be. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to streamline it to symbol-wise tagging.
However, we’re working on something new and even better – “Goals”. Soon, you’ll be able to assign your portfolio to various goals with a bunch of cool features added on. This is in its initial phase of development. We request you to wait it out.

I would love to have couple of more watchlists. These watchlists’ names can represent different strategies or setups to execute a trade. Then Tag the trade automatically with the watchlist name.
No more hassle of tagging before trading. It’s cumbersome
Nice feature. But going by the pace at which zerodha launches new features, I think I will check after a decade.
