Zerodha Commodity Account Reactivate

Hi Team,

My Zerodha Commodity Account got deactivated due to no activity ,more than 5 years ago.
If I have to reactive Commodity account, I got to console and click on Segment to active Commodity account.

Let me know if I have to enable commodity segment in Console or I can directly add funds in Commodity account.

When I click I got an pop up like below saying:

This will activate commodity segment for NSE and MCX under Zerodha Broking Ltd., and deactivate commodity segment for MCX under Zerodha Commodities Ltd.

Hi Abhilash, we’ve now started offering single ledger facility. This allows you to trade equities and commodities using same funds.

Now when you’re trying to activate the commodity segment on Console, it’ll deactivate your old commodity account with was held with Zerodha Commodities and will open a commodity account with Zerodha Broking, allowing you to trade in both equity and commodity with same funds.

You can check out more details here: Introducing single ledger facility: trade in equity and commodity (MCX and NSE Commodities) with same funds

Hi Team,
Yesterday Night I raised request to enable Commodity & Disable BSE - Futures & Options. I got mail related to request approvals. Today Morning BSE - Futures & Options showing deactivated as per request. But Commodity is not enabled.

Seems Commodity enabled request is not processed. In Single Request I disabled BSE - Futures & Options & enable Commodity.
Let me know if enabling Commodity will take time as mentioned in mail (24 Working Hours) or If anything is missed from my side.

Please create a ticket at support.zerodha.com, our team will check and update you on the status.
