@NithinKamath Hi Nithin. Can we please get this feature sooner? Itās been more than 6 months with same reply of delay. It really helps to sell at right time, without waiting for next day / day after for unpledging.

This is badly needed. There should not be any issue with regard to margin as sell value will always be more than margin provided.
As mentioned earlier this was on our top priority list but due to regulatory changes we are forced to work on interoperability which is a major change and after that only we can do this.

It seems Nithin had alluded getting this feature back in 2016 tooā¦
With markets now entering into Euphoria in Small/Midcap segment,
not having instant unpledging will surely hurt us when most needed and hence increases our risk or missed opportunities.
Please do invest into this featureā¦ i mean if you need to hire etcā¦
As it can make a big difference for so many traders, who invest & then pledge.

Just for my understanding whatās special in providing this feature? Is it coding related? Regulatory? This pledging mechanism was introduced last September and all brokers had same time preparing for it.
For Kotak securities, itās business as usual. That is, even a particular stock is pledged, I can simply sell it off if I want to if I didnāt utilize any margin against it. I donāt have to first un-pledge it and wait for a day to sell it.
Right now you can do this:
Just unpledge before 1:30pm and put your sell order before 1:30pm as well. The transaction will happen the same day on Zerodha Coin.

Are we still on Oct Time line? @siva this has already been delayed by 6 months and makes it worrying for traders like us who use stock collaterals. I think this will be a big plus for all your customer base.

On it, should happen this year. We are working on few other major changes as they are mandatory like we need to offer interoperability by end of this year and that is a big change.
@siva are we looking to get this feature by Nov?
Please get this prioritized on high priority, given market volatility is going up fast.

@nithin @ShubhS9 @MohammedFaisal , Guys please get some traction on thisā¦ This is now nearly 12 months delayed and creates a big risk given increasing volatility in the market.
It might become a big deterrent for traders like me to trade on Zerodha going forward.

Such an important feature if goes to back burner , then I believe some introspection is required whether additional resources are required. It is testing patience. Request some importance is attached to this.
