How would you fulfill a “fake promise” though?

Was it the same wise-man who also said -

“Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”

At this point of time,
looking at the history of “schedule discussions” on this forum,
the smart folks have stopped asking for ETAs.

“Soon” is a meme on this forum that regulars understand.

It has been proven time and time again on this forum that folks who provide estimated schedules lack the confidence / discipline / (whatever other reasons/incentives that prevent them from calmly stating -
“Sorry, cannot promise anything, will update once we have something to share”,
and adding the link to the topic-thread to their internal task-tracker
for them to provide an announcement update and a comment with the link to it in each of the topic-threads, once the task in complete.)

If enough people ask for an estimated schedule,
they WILL eventually share some timeline
without emphasizing that it is only an estimate and not a promise. :person_facepalming:

To their credit, judging by the evolving pattern of comments over the years, it appears that they have been asked to avoid sharing estimates, and they do try to avoid sharing estimates to the best of their abilities. But, once in a while, presumably when they are unusually confident about their ongoing tasks, they do slip-up and share an estimated schedule - only to encounter unforeseen challenges, and end-up disappointing themselves and anyone else who was naive enough to rely on them as deadlines.

Everyone please stop with this naivete. :face_holding_back_tears:

Instead maybe (just maybe) if we all demonstrate some maturity to differentiate between a roadmap and a contract (both when asking for and answering about estimated schedules) we might be able to have more meaningful conversations.

If you are one of the folks who has been caught in such a situation of having shared an estimated schedule on this forum that was inevitable revised, Please review your social-media training on how to collect user-feedback and provide timelines without setting unrealistic expectations. If you aren’t aware of such a training, maybe ask your team/org leaders to create one and share it within the team/org.

@siva atleast you can give reply

Definitely you are right here on this
I oftenly visit this site for information that what zerodha is doing currently or what they want to do in future

And I see these “soon” memes that hurts me
Because there is no option in market currently.

How much we can discuss but every other brokers is shady in many ways

Unnecessary notifications
Spam mails
News
Updates
Full of trash in trading apps

That’s why we stuck to zerodha and trust these memes

good feature. if you can have an feature for adjusting open positions bar as it has full horizontal line due to which it can’t be moved anywhere or have transparency in that due to which, cannot see the candle formation.

Tried exiting the positions from chart, but seems market order or limit order are not able to placed from there seen popup - price is illiquid. for which segments is this?

If I open that sidebar (newly introduced previously), it is not adjustable + open security charts 3/4th of window chart is hidden after opening that sidebar

There is ample place, nxt to the labels - “Chart & Option”. in that you can add, open positions, open orders, closed P&L what currently u have introduced side bar on charts.

Add those trading labels on kite app also

I just want to know the number of developers/team size working on it.

In this age of AI, where AI is finishing an entire chrome size browser start to end in a month.

What takes you guys to enable few existing features (already on og tv) to customize for Z so many months / years.

Correct,:100: so many peoples are waiting for terminal and TFC mobile.

I’ve followed the early development of TradingView and Dhan, and they’ve delivered many of my major feature requests within weeks or a month. Zerodha, on the other hand, takes years. They always seem to start late; only after everyone else has provided a feature do they even begin considering it. Even then, their development moves at a turtle’s pace. The only reason I’m still stuck with them is their simplicity and stability, but waiting for necessary new features is truly painful.

#NoOffence, just providing a user’s perspective.
