Feedback on Recent Changes in Zerodha

Dear @nithin Sir,

I am a proud user of Zerodha and truly believe that it is the best and most stable platform. I greatly appreciate the simplicity of the features that Zerodha offers.

However, I have recently noticed some new features and changes that feel unnecessary, and it seems they were implemented without considering the actual needs of users. For example, the New order window in the Kite app, the Repositioning of the Options menu in the Positions tab, and the Discontinuation of the tagging feature.
As a user, I felt the previous interface was more intuitive and user-friendly. The recent changes have made the experience feel unnecessarily complicated. I respectfully request that the team consider reverting certain changes, especially those that affect simplicity, and perhaps engage more closely with users before implementing new features.

While I do appreciate features like the Notes in a watchlist, the new Options menu in the Positions tab (though not its updated position), corporate actions on charts, and the integration with Tijori, Privacy Mode.
I hope future updates will focus on features that users genuinely need, without compromising the platform’s simplicity. (Features such as TFC and a native Options Chain would be more valuable additions.)

I also encourage other Zerodha users to share their thoughts on this matter.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you will look into this feedback.

Best regards :slightly_smiling_face:

Adding to the list:

  1. Quick Order window
  1. High low bar (or whatever the name is)

Frustrating to see common features which people have literally been asking for years not being introduced but get “features” which nobody asked for & which have been receiving criticism from old/experienced traders…

Kite opens the order window based on our last used order type. Zerodha doesn’t force us to use the quick order window.

I find it quite useful. It shows the LTP in relation to the high and low of the day.
It’s like a horizontal OHLC candle.

Thanks for the reply, @nithin sir.

I’ve already discussed this with @Arockiya_Raja
Most traders on this platform, as well as on social media, don’t seem to like the changes that Zerodha has made recently. That’s why I’ve tagged you, so you can look into this further.

After multiple iterations, we made these changes with long-term benefits in mind. We understand that transitioning to the new design may feel uncomfortable at first—it takes some time to adjust. TBH, I felt the same difficulties while using the new design at starting. It may initially feel uncomfortable, but these changes lead to better workflows and improved user experience. Based on the feedback we may make minor tweaks to make it convenient.

We (Me, Nithin…etc) have been closely monitoring :eyes: all feedback and are fully aware of the concerns. :slightly_smiling_face:

Right @Arockiya_Raja , it’s because the option menu is at the extreme right in the positions tab, but in the order book and holdings, it’s in the middle. That’s why it becomes confusing. It wouldn’t be inconvenient if they were in the same place in all tabs.

Thanks, looking forward to it :slightly_smiling_face:

yes, we discussed this before going live but taking this live on all pages is risky. It will be implemented on orders and other pages soon.
